Passion. Jealousy. Revenge. Join us for a rare silent Italian drama with a new live score by six-piece band The Badwills, followed by wild southern Italian folk dancing for all in the Dunoon Burgh Hall. Assunta Spina (1915) stars Francesca Bertini, one of Italian cinema’s greatest ‘silent diva’ actresses smouldering on-screen as she’s torn between the men who can’t control her passions. Complementing the film’s striking Neapolitan backdrop this new score is co-commissioned by Glasgow Film Festival and A Kind of Seeing. Supported by Film Hub Scotland, part of the BFI’s Film Audience Network and funded by BFI and Creative Scotland.

After the film, try out the traditional Southern dance of pizzica and tammurriata with The Badwill’s furious live music. Wear red for passion and have your tambourines ready!

1. Acceptance of Terms

Dunoon Film Festival ("DFF"), comprised of the internet site www.dunoonfilmfestival.org (the Site), provides the information and services on the Site to you, the user, conditioned upon your acceptance, without modification, of the terms and conditions of use ("Terms") contained herein. Your use of the Site constitutes agreement with such Terms.

DFF reserves the right, at DFF's sole discretion, to change, modify, add or remove portions of these Terms periodically. In no event shall DFF's total cumulative liability to any user or other party under these terms of service or otherwise exceed £1,000.00. Nothing herein shall be deemed to create an agency, partnership, joint venture, employee-employer or franchisor-franchisee relationship of any kind between DFF and any user or other person or entity nor do these terms of service extend rights to any third party.
